  • Security vs privacy project focus: Kicksecure is primarily a security-focused focused operating system. Not a privacy or anonymity focused operating system. For anonymity, look into WhonixOnion network Logo, which is based on Kicksecure.
  • Respect of user privacy: No privacy intrusive features such as Ubuntu's privacy-intrusive Amazon search lens that had sent data to Amazonarchive.org iconarchive.today icon will be added. Also other problematic software such as GeoClue will be avoided due to GeoClue privacy concernsarchive.org iconarchive.today icon.
  • Torified operating system (APT) upgrades: In chapter Hardening by Default documents the Kicksecure torified operating system (apt) upgrades feature. That is a security feature to mitigatae against targeted, malicious software upgrades. This is not a privacy or anonymity feature.
