• Security vs privacy project focus: Kicksecure is primarily a security-focused focused operating system. Not a privacy or anonymity focused operating system. For anonymity, look into Whonix, which is based on Kicksecure.
• Respect of user privacy: No privacy intrusive features such as Ubuntu's privacy-intrusive Amazon search lens that had sent data to Amazon will be added. Also other problematic software such as GeoClue will be avoided due to GeoClue privacy concerns.
• Torified operating system (APT) upgrades: In chapter Hardening by Default documents the Kicksecure torified operating system (apt) upgrades feature. That is a security feature to mitigatae against targeted, malicious software upgrades. This is not a privacy or anonymity feature.
